From out of an estate, this vintage beaded purse dates to around the 1930's. It is made with opaque black glass beads, accented with clear glass beads that almost look taupe in a geometric design depicting rows of diamond shapes. The body of the purse measures 5 1/2", not including the 3 1/4" fringe at the bottom. It has an envelope type flap that folds over, and closure consists of a beaded ball and loop. This is a shoulder purse, and it has a very long beaded strap...a little over 23". This unlined purse was made by hand, and it is in EXCELLENT vintage condition. I see no missing beads. This is very wearable. Can't you just see a flapper wearing this with the long "shimmy" fringe! It also makes a terrific display item.
