DeLizza & Elster (Juliana) Black Rhinestone BUG/INSECT Pin-Book Piece

From out of a HUGE estate collection of NICE vintage/designer costume jewelry, this is a well known DeLizza & Elster (aka Juliana) brooch that is a figural bug or insect with a large black rhinestone body, black navette rhinestones under the gold-tone metal wings, black chaton rhinestone head and aurora borealis rhinestone accents. Except fo the head, the stones are all prong set in gold-tone metal . This measures about 1 3/4" and has a safety clasp in good working order. DeLizza & Elster made this pin in many different color variations. It is pictured on page 130 and 139 of Katerina Musetti's "The Art of Juliana Jewelry". This also has many well documented DeLizza & Elster design elements, including heavy plating, use of color and different shaped stones, open back stones, cast stem and riveted "flowerette"...all well known characteristics of D&E jewelry. This brooch is in EXCELLENT vintage condition with no missing or "dead" stones...VIVID COLOR and CLARITY. It displays BEAUTIFULLY and is MUCH PRETTIER than the pictures. I understand that due to a controversial Ruby Lane policy, I am not allowed to tell you that this has been verified by the owner of DeLizza & Elster as one of their pieces, so besides all the correct design and construction elements, I can only say that I have researched this line of jewelry thoroughly and know it well. I have the utmost confidence in this piece and all the DeLizza & Elster pieces I have listed in my shop and would not claim them to be D&E unless I felt sure.
