Pair of Art Deco Green/White Enameled Dress Clips

This is a pair of very Art Deco dress clips that look as though they are jointed and movable, but they are stabilized on the back side so remain rigid. They have a very geometric design with vibrant green and white enameling on RICH gold-tone metal with a nice aged patina. Each clip measures 2 5/8" long and is marked "Pat 1852188". They are otherwise unsigned, as many dress clips of that era were. These came from a large estate collection of dress clips and fur clips. Vintage dress clips are becoming increasingly popular. They are such a versatile and affordable fashion accessory. Dating to the Art Deco era, they look fabulous on a blouse or dress and wonderful on a blazer or coat. Many use them to accent a purse, pocket, lapel, belt or hat...even boots! Use your imagination...you can clip them just about anywhere!
