From out of an old estate collection, this vintage oval shaped brooch dates to around the Edwardian era. It is hand carved celluloid with an applied Egyptian motif depicting a reclining lion or sphinx against a triangular background. It has two blue beads on either side that I believe to be Bakelite. This is hand painted and measures about 2". It has an old "C" style clasp with slightly bent pin that works just fine. The brooch is unsigned and in VERY GOOD vintage condition.
