Nice Peale Museum Silhouette

These used to be quite common, but nowadays they are getting difficult to find. Here we have a decent early 19th century silhouette of a man. There is a set of two penciled names below the bust, which I can not read. I am selling it as found and did not open it. The silhouette seems to be sewed onto black backing. The cutting is well done with the MUSEUM stamp quite sharp. It comes in a period gold-leafed frame that measures 4.5 x 5 inches with minor faults around its edges. Priced to move!
