If you collect American miniatures or have interest on this subject, this is a must have book. This offering is for a used copy that is in excellent condition with protective mylar jacket, 271 pages, glossy stock, color plates and B&W illustrations from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

There are quite a number of reference works on large American portraits, but very little has been written on miniature portraits. This is THE book on the subject. As a result, the price of this book keeps going up. One book seller prices his copy at $1900!! Generally, however, a nice copy can be had for $400-500. Our copy is a genuine bargain!

Amazingly, many collectors and dealers always hesitate to spend a few dollars for good reference works. Yet, they will spend big bucks to add something to their collection and inventory.
