Bat printing became a popular method of printing with manufacturers, especially with curved objects, but could only be used on smaller items. The print was transferred to a piece of paper, called the bat, which was applied by hand to the object, hence the size limitations.
Unmarked, c.1800-10, but unquestionably Spode.
In absolutely mint condition.
