We supply the highest quality antique porcelain all of the way from England
Completely hand-painted in the "Rubber Tree" pattern, this pattern is far more common on early Worcester porcelain than on Bow. Dated c.1760-65, it is also marked to the underside with faux, or mock Chinese markings.
Condition is very good with only a chip to the rim, & a feint "Y" crack to the base (not extended from the edge).
The footrim is characteristic of Bow, both in shape & with a biscuity colour to the edge, & the blue coloured glaze can be seen where it is more thickly applied.
The four character mock Chinese marks are often found on Bow wares of this type & date. The "Y" shaped crack can be seen more clearly in the photographs, it does not extend from the rim & is quite stable.
Measures 7 1/2 in diameter.
