This lovely antique(Approx. 1927-1930) botanical is in great condition with no foxing, stains, moisture , fading etc. The background is a tea stain color , but we feel it may have only been a bit lighter originally. It is truly that old fashioned whimsical romantic, garden-y look. There are 6 large (4") pansies depicted and one bud. The pansies are deep purple, butter yellow with a brown face, salmon , paprika, strawberry pink, and light and dark indigo. the leaves and stems are "7-up bottle " green, and light apple green. The frame is light brownish tan faux bamboo which really looks like bamboo as it is the color of old bamboo fishing poles. 113/4" wide x 15" nice old pins holding in the print, and a small swivel hook at top for hanging is still in place.

So restful over a bed, in a parlor, or by a garden room wall, etc. We see this in a California farm house or nursery , or Cape Cod cottage, or maybe a florist shop.
