Lovely vintage , framed print of azaleas in beautiful salmons,whites,pinks, soft tan, darker tan, and greens. The photos look like the print is buckeled, but it is not. There is a light pink/salmon toned outline border around the print on the tan mat. The mat is heavy old paper with a slight rib in it. The frame is narrow ribbed gilded wood, and the mat and print are unstained, but look stained from the reflections in our photos. It also looks wrinkled, but it is not, ..., it is a lighting problem here. The backing of the frame is old cardboard, the print itself appears to be old artist paper, cotton linter, but we have not opened the frame to check. It is definately old paper of some sort, as opposed to canvas. In our opinio this is over 80 years old, may be older.

French captions on the top edge of the print say:Revue de l'Horticulture Belge et' E'trangere and the caption under the flowers reads:AZALE'ES DE L'INDE A FLEURS DOUBLES (P. De Pannemaeker pinxet Chromohth Gand.(this last line is faded, but readable). Also the frame seems to be original and has old pins in the back to hold in the print, which have remained untouched for years. the hardware is old loop hooks holding old wire. 20" tall x 14 " high Price reflects the low cost we paid, so we can pass this along.
