Free us shipping/ins;Which cut of beef do you want? This tells you so delightfully where it comes from! This wonderful folk art Americana sampler, ( unstained, my shadow is in the photo) with quilted parts of the cuts of beef is very special and matches the Pork one we have for sale . As you can see it is glass framed , in an old oak frame, and the piece itself is on beige linen and appears to be 50 years old or more.
The intricate needlework is in pinks, blues, yellows, peaches, and green tones, with black used for the numbered sections and the features of the face.
The steer has a golden toned ring in it's nose, and is stitched in greens. (PLease see the matching pig/pork one we have to offer in our shop, antiki)
There are 6 quilted calico sections of the cuts of beef:1 CHUCK 2 RIB 3 SIRLOIN 4 ROUND 5 FLANK and
6 BRISKET !!
This is a most delightful piece of folk art and very special.
The size is 19" x 15" and in excellent condition except the frame is scratched here and there, but adds character in this case, we believe. The backing is old brown paper, with 2 old nails holding a broken thin wire for hanging. We have left the wire for you, but will add new wire if you wish.
This is from a Florida estate.
Wonderful in a kitchen, butcher shop, restaurant, sewing shop, pub, ranch, advertising, etc. We have found no signature, but this is hand done, as the framing indicates and there is a tiny wrinkle in one of the quilted areas.Great gifts, free wrap! Free us shipping.
