FREE US SHIPPING. This Beautiful sunset and citrus colors cheese keeper or butter dish with slanted cover is truly wonderful and collectible! The colors of the many hand painted roses are pinks and yellows, and the magical shading on the pieces themselves are sunset tones of yellows, peaches, greens, and russets. The sloping lid is shaped like a stylized clover leaf, with hobnailing along the edges, and the sloped handle is gilded. The tray portion of the piece is gilded on the edges, and fluted along every other curve. The realism in the painting of the roses ,stems, and leaves is not done justice by our photos. Makers mark is the early Bavarian laurel leaf with bumble bee. Antique, approximately 1905.
