The Christian Endeavor Society, a religious and outreach organization for young people, was founded in 1881 at the Williston Church in Portland, Maine. This 5 1/2" long sterling silver spoon by Gorham celebrated the organization and its founding. The handle has the C E logo, a cross and Y P S C E. The bowl has an embossed depiction of a church and says Birthplace Williston Church Feb 2nd 1881 Portland Maine. The back of the handle is engraved Milo 1899. This spoon is in extremely good condition.
