2 Chain Silver Cherub Chatelaine with Lorgnette and Pill Box

This is a rare and ornate 2 chain silver chatelaine. The hook part features an ornate cherub design. He is playing a lyre. It is an exquisite piece by itself, but this piece also has 2 nifty items hanging from its chains! The first is an engraved hinged box. The other is a spiffy lorgnette. The whole thing, including chains is 10" long, and all parts are in great condition. The box closes tightly and opens easily. The lorgnette has a button to push to open, and it operates smoothly.

Unfortunately, I cannot find any silver marks whatsoever on any part of this chatelaine. There are some numbers on the inside of the box, nothing else. It is, however, a wonderful piece, worthy of a special collection!
