History: The Applique process of decoration was a process developed jointly by HLC and the EI Dupont de Nemour company in 1953. The intention was to give overglaze decorations bold and bright colors and protect them from food acids and detergents. The A-104 Apple was made by Homer Laughlin for the McCrory stores.
