Presented for your consideration is a magnificent Trifari Sterling brooch designed by A. Philippe.

The pin is marked "TRIFARI" with the old type crown over the "T", "STERLING" and "Des. Pat. No. 138522". It is in wonderful condition with a beautiful mellow patina to the sterling and gold-plating.

The design patent was filed on June 28, 1944, granted on Aug. 15, 1944 and is numbered 138,522. The owner of the patent is Trifari, Krussman & Fishel, Inc. and the inventor is listed as Alfred Philippe.

Measuring 3.75" long x 1.2" wide x .45" deep, it features gorgeous cabochons in rich ruby red and sapphire blue glass. These measure from 7x5mm to 10x8mm. There is a folding clasp on the back which works perfectly.

An amazing and very pretty pin- the ultimate "power brooch"!
