30% OFF Everything in the Shop! HUGE Early Christmas Sale!
The necklace measures a total of 15.5" long with the center medallion measuring 1.85" wide x 1.5" tall. The earrings measure 1.3" wide x 1.25" tall. The set is in solid sterling silver with gold-plating with very little loss to the plating- the whole set has a very rich gold look.
All three pieces feature a feathered design which is not impressed- it is actually cut into the silver and all edges are polished smooth and finished. The craftsmanship on this set is amazing! The faux pearls are elaborately attached to the earrings with wires that run through the pearls and then attach through tiny holes to the back of the earrings. This detail is so fine that I had to use magnification to see how it was done.
The chain on the necklace is an overlapping link which attaches to the center medallion of intertwined ovals accented with the cut feathered design and faux pearls ranging in size from 2-4mm in diameter.
All pieces in this set are solid cast as opposed to stamped metal and the entire set has a wonderful weight and feel to it.
Marks: "R. DeRosa" on back of pendant; "Sterling" on the clasp.
"Sterling" and "PAT PEND" on the back of each earring clip.

Notes on DeRosa: Founded in 1934, the Ralph DeRosa Company of New York was a family operated jewelry manufacturing company. Marketing designs for Schiaparelli, they found little time to produce and market their own jewelry, therefore, there was limited production of DeRosa jewelry lines.
DeRosa jewelry is known for its complex dimensional design and high quality components. Ralph DeRosa jewelry designs range from florals, figurals, retro motifs, and designs inspired by the precious jewelry of the era.
DeRosa jewelry is hard to find, but is certainly worth the search. This New York City firm ceased operations in the 1970s.
The next to last picture shows my model, Sock Monkey, wearing this Demi Parure. She's not a very energetic model but is very easy to get along with!
