Presented for your consideration is a very rare and unique Demi Parure by CORO. It features Colonial ladies with perfectly powdered wigs and flower-adorned hats smiling sweetly at the viewer. I am unable to find another set like it anywhere.
The bracelet is made of goldtone links and large faux pearls with pleated bead caps and a locking clasp. Hanging from the bracelet is a heavy charm measuring approx. 1 3/8" in diameter. The charm appears to be, by weight and material, domed glass on both sides with a picture of the lady inside (both sides). The glass domes are banded with a goldplated ring and twist knob at the top. It looks like an old pocket watch design.
The earrings each measure 1.25" in diameter x 7/8" deep and have screw backs. The same lady is featured on the earrings encased in lucite or glass which is bezel-set and edged in small faux pearls and goldtone filigree with little round cut rhinestones. The backs of the earrings are signed "CORO" in forward slant. I cannot find a signature on the bracelet but they were bought as a set in the 1950's.
This demi parure is in excellent vintage condition. It is not only very beautiful, it is unique and unusual and would make a great addition to your vintage jewelry or CORO collection.
