Nippon Hand Painted Fruit Bowl or Compote with Handles

A rare find, a big bowl made by Nippon. The shades of the blossoms are lovely, the backdrop is one of a garden of flowers, with hollyhocks in bloom.A finely executed and enamel floral garland adorn the inner rim beneath a two toned gold border. Gold handles and a gold rimmed footed bottom complete the design . The bowl is perfect. The painting is clear and bright, the gold trim is in excellent condition. The bowl is 8 1/2" wide, 3 1/2" tall. A hard to find item in seldom seen condition. Beautiful.
