Sweet sauce dish with underplate. Hand Painted, marked with Nippon, Bowl measures 2 1/2"" inches, from table top to edge of bowl and 6" inches long, it is rather oval in shape. The plate measures 7" inches long and 5 1/2" inches wide. Both pieces have footed bottoms. White plate and bowl decorated with gilt moriage and hand painted flowers. the bowl has a group of flowers on one side, a few petals on the other, the plate shows the gilded edge amd petals here and there on plate rim. Both items are free from cracks and crazing. Bowl is marked with the Morimura Brothers M in wreath and Hand Painted Nippon in green. Lovely pieces for your collection or for others. Use on your Holiday table for a soft remembrance of earlier days.
