R.C. Bavaria Tankard, Hand Painted

Lovely tankard showing currents or barberries, luscious colors of red and cream make this piece a standout. Beautifully executed design, this piece stands 4 1/2" tall with a three tiered base. An absolute treat for the eyes. Marked R. C. with crown and crossed swords with Bavaria underneath. Rosie red color forms the background for the berry design with turning green vine and ripe berries, The rose color repeats to a slight tinge of green and cream at the bottom of the mug. A twig like handle follows the color scheme of the mug. Close examination of bottom edge of the handle reveals what may be a chip repair. Very hard to determine and only visible with a loupe. Not rough or jagged to the touch.. Price reflects the possible repair.

There is what appears to be an ink stain in the bottom of the piece. I did not try and remove it.
