A sweet Child’s English Cup and Saucer set. The cup is 2” high and 2 1/2" across at the top, and has a teeny tiny nip on the rim; the saucer is 4 1/2” across.

This design is a repeat decoration in a reddish-brown with a lined deep red color. This type of design is often referred to as stick spatter, where a sponge or some other material was cut into a pattern and then applied by hand. The pattern is attributed to Allerton & Sons, Staffordshire England. C.1890
