Here you see many views of this William IV Compendium table cabinet in rosewood and constructed to convey an architectural three-dimensional effect with frames of ornamental carving to the base and the center, C. 1835. The mother-of-pearl inlays is of "The Tree of Life" with a bird perched in the branches. The lovely table cabinet also has mother-of-pearl dots with stringing on the doors and the top.

When the lid is lifted a fully fitted top sewing section is revealed. This is a fully fitted sewing section of the cabinet.

When the doors are opened fully, one sees four "drawers" each with MOP dots and stringing and turned knobs. The first is a false draw. The second and third drawers are fitted for jewelry as can be seen in the photos.

And the bottom drawer, when opened reveals a fully fitted writing slope having its original ink bottles and velvet writing surface.

The beautiful cabinet is supported by compressed bunn feet and has wooden carrying handles on each side. This, all in one or compendium cabinet measures 12" high, 8 3/4" deep, and 10" wide. c.1848
