Here is a beautiful brass edged rosewood/ Coromandel writing slope. The box is very heavy, typical of the Victorian Era. Notice that the edged brass is rounded, and in perfect condition. Within the box are compartments for pens, 2 ink well, and other writing utensils. The pen tray is veneered as well. There are three secret draws under the upper writing surface which are revealed by lifting one of the slats at the right hand side inkwell. The inside surfaces for writing are impeccable and covered in a gold tooled leather. The writing slope measures 18" x 10 1/2" x 7 1/4".
