Vintage 50's Lionel No. 249 Steam Engine Locomotive Train SET

We are combining all the Lionel separates that we've had listed to sell TOGETHER as a SET. That includes:

Lionel engine with power box, coal car, box car, tank car, flatbed, and caboose. Also includes track, trestles, and miscellaneous other Lionel stuff. (see the more extensive list below, please)

Listed separately these came to $353, we are offering them now as a set for only $250.

Condition: was a gift and used and loved and working great in the 50's; has been stored since then. We did notice that there is some rust on some of the track; we have heard that is NOT a problem, and others say that it is: we are selling it as is, no guarantees except that it IS all authentic vintage Lionel.

About the engine:

It is the Lionel No. 249 steam engine locomotive in black with a red stripe down the sides and a 2-4-2 wheel arrangement. The bottom is numbered 027. It is based on a light-duty freight type "Columbia" locomotive and will operate on all Lionel trackage. Its operating voltage range is between 9 and 12 volts and it will pull a train of five or six light-weight freight cars.

This comes with the original page of operating instructions (which is in rough condition, please see photographs).

We have other pieces available: a matching Pennsylvania tender, a blue 6112 gondola car with 3 white tanks, a red SL-SF 6014 boxcar, a metal orange flatbed car, a dark maroon 6017 caboose, a box of trestles, a box of track with a bag of tie channels and sheet metal screws, a 1015 transformer power box, a bottle brush tree (!), a tube of lubricant and a 5" x 3" Lionel Train cardboard card!).
