Set of 5 Pretty Hand Painted Ivy Trail Dinner Plates by Steubenville Pottery Co

In 1879, 25 citizens of Jefferson County, Ohio formed the Steubenville Pottery Company which lasted over 70 years. These lovely dinner plates have their logo of the painter's palette and paintbrush with their stamp which says: "hand painted-color fast- oven proof", then again: "COLOR FAST-OVEN-PROOF- DETERGENT SAFE HAND DECORATED IN UNDERGLAZE COLORS BY SKILLED AMERICAN CRAFTSMEN FOR LASTING BEAUTY. Steubenville Pottery Co. U.S.A."

These are 5 dinner plates, we also have 5 of their smaller bread and butter plates (sold separately), and all are in excellent condition (no chips, cracks). These are 10" across, while the side plates are about 6.5" across.

This is called the "Ivy Trail" design, and features deep forest green ivy leaves with dark chocolate brown tendrils and soft sage green smaller leaves on a creamy ivory base.

Beautiful set, highly collectible, wonderful in any season, but I think especially PERFECT to set a fall table!...but really would be gorgeous with red (or gold!) chargers for the holidays! (wow!)

The replacement value of each of these is nearly $16 each ($80 total), we're listing them for only $30 for all five.
