We are on our annual buying trip, so our next shipping dates are Dec 1, 2 & 3; after that we'll ship Jan 1. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
These exhibit cards were produced by Louis Dow from 1950 to 1954. Although they share some art and titles with their Mutoscope relatives, they are distinctly larger by some 1/8" in both height and width. Calendar Girls 1 cards (produced in 1950) are marked 'Litho in USA', as is this one and each of the other two that we now have available.
This one is titled "One for the Books " and is an Art Frahm creation. The card has a bright yellow background with a brunette on a ladder, the skirt of her dress caught up to show her shapely posterior, and gartered stockings, while putting her in a bit of a compromising position with an armload of books.
The card measures 3 and 3/8" by 5 and 3/8". There are a couple of creases in the card, the corners are very slightly bent. Please see all close-up photos.

These are really great collectibles; we're happy to offer them separately (this is for the "Books" card only), but will discount for multiple item purchase, and combine to reduce shipping, if interested.
We will be protecting these between layers of cardboard, rather than just popping them in an envelope, thus the rate of postage rather than just 42c (or whatever it is currently).
~~~ We'd like to thank Kevin Freeman and his website for his background information about these precocious collectibles.
