Fabulous Mercedes Lamp with Water Lily Leaf Base

Here is a lovely antique lamp with clock face that we discovered in the corner of a dusty shop in Honolulu a few years back.

This was made in West Germany; it's marked Mercedes on the face. It is an electric lamp and holds 2 chandelier lights that cast a warm, soft glow! The back of the clock looks like it needs to be wound rather, although we have not been able to get it into it (yet). So it IS a working lamp, the clock is not currently running.

This has a wonderful decadent gold Italian Renaissance look with curling acanthus style leaves, which is very in style currently (we've seen similar in Martha Stewart Living Magazine recently, as well as Home, and Midwest Living). We added the black shades; they are not included in the price (available separately, if you wish). They DO look fabulous with this!

This has a "Gilbert" switch, and an "Academy Automatic" plug in that yummy ivory marble look thermoplastic (not bakelite). The lamp is about 18" tall, 12" across, with a 5.5" across base. Clock face is about 4" across and about 2" deep.

Excellent one of a kind lamp with character and personality of its own.
