Vintage Noritake Hand Painted Lustreware Fruit Bowl

This is a double-handled bowl by Noritake, made in Japan. It has that fabulous luster blue in the bottom right corner, with a delightful hand painted bough of fruit! (apple? peach? we think apple!)

This has a soft yellow and pink wash background, the fruit, flower and leaves are bright. The bowl has NO chips or cracks; the gold along the rim and handles has worn off a bit, though, indicating this was, in fact used in a previous life!

The bottom has a Noritake Hand Painted stamp with an "M" in the center of a laurel; Made in Japan under it. No chips on the bottom either (The other spot near the stamp are just the remains of a security sticker from an antique mall.). Measures 10" from handle to handle, and about 1.5" to the rim from the table top.

Wonderful collectible; great gift!
