R.T. French Kitchens. Meals with a Flair: 72 Exciting ways to liven up your meals. 1 Mustard St. Rochester New York 14609. Date: No date listed. See Sellers’ notes. 36pp. No Index. Size: 3 3/4" X 6". Paper wraps.

Sellers’ Note: I thought this was 1970s but decided to date it by the French’s foods used in the recipes . . . and there are many. French’s Onion Flakes are used. These were introduced in 1971. Mustard is used often in the recipes and is not differentiated between yellow and Dijon. Yellow was introduced in 1904, Dijon not until 1972. There were plenty of recipes where Dijon would have been used in place of the yellow, I believe. I am dating this booklet between 1971 and 1973 for those reasons as well as the obvious cover illustrations. There were at least 20 French’s items used in the recipes. There is a time-line for French’s products and dates online through BHG.

This was “Free with purchase of French’s Worcestershire or Barbecue Sauce.”

“Whether you are seeking to make your outdoor cooking zestier or your everyday meals more exciting, we think that French’s fine products can help you.”

Recipe Examples: Sesame Cheese Loaf, Filled Hamburgers, Country Fried Fish Fillets, Chuckwagon Beef on a Skewer, Mock Sukiyaki, ‘In-a-Jiffy’ Stew, Cole Slaw with Tangy Dressing, Lazy Day Potato Salad, Piquant Salad Dressing, Kabob Nibblers and more.

Condition: The cover is great with very nice colors. No markings inside. Thanks for visiting our vintage cookbook selections.

Optional insurance.
