1913 Beautiful Winsch Beaded Birthday Postcard Country Cottage Scene

This 1913 John Winsch Birthday postcard has a vignette of a wonderful country cottage scene. The flowers decorating the top and bottom have luxuriant beading and colored discs for extra sparkle. The cottage is framed with more beading. Thinly embossed lines connect the vignette to the floral garland above. Little embossed dots run between the lines. A very pretty post card with great Winsch detailing. Front: “Design Copyrighted John Winsch 1913.” Back “Printed in Germany.” Postmark: None. [Probably why the beading is in such nice shape.] Given by cousin Evelyn, who was making catsup to Nellie Estes, Burton MI. Nellie was born in the 1870s. One cent stamp box. Size: 3 ½" X 5 ½.”

Condition: Two tape residue spots on back, put there by the current owner, not Nellie. There is a tiny pinhole at the e in “Wishes.” Nellie would sometimes pin up her cards but made sure it was in an inconspicuous place. This is a truly gorgeous postcard that Nellie surely loved.
