A Victorian trade card depicts a little girl with loud kittens gathered around her. “Compliments of H.C. Greeley & Co. Clinton Mass. Size: 3" X 4 3/8.” The 1900 U.S. Census lists a Henry C. Greeley, 69 years old as a dealer in dry goods in Clinton, Worcester Co. Massachusetts. This was probably his trade card as I found no other H.C. Greeley in Clinton. He was born in 1830 and was married to Sarah B. According to a town history he was in Clinton in 1857. An online family genealogy lists his wife ...
