1955 Alexander Alexander-kins #481 Wendy Does the Mambo

This is a very hard to find 1955 Alexander 8" hard plastic Alexander-kins Doll #481 Wendy Does the Mambo. She is a pristine clean wonderful example of this doll never played with or displayed. She is a straight leg walker, her hips have a gentle "give or wiggle" to them when I move her legs back and forth (common with these dolls), and her sleep eyes (flutter" (open and close) well. She has a very unusual twisted hairstyle to a brunette triple stitched wig, and it is in the original perfect set. She wears two roses in her hair. And she has the early Wendy face. Her "Mambo" outfit is fabulous and is complete including the "lace" fan. The photo does not show the three gold "sticks" to the underside of the fan that hold the lace open as if it wear a real fan. The outfit has the Madame Alexander Alexander-kins tag. Several loops of the shawl fringe have pulls to the right front of the shawl (and are hard to see in the photo). The white petticoat organdy has aged in color along with the fan and shawl fringe and stripe of the dress (they may have been ecru to start with???). The skirt fabric may have aged in color???? Not sure. The gold slippers have fuzzy soles. She is quite a wonderful example of this doll.
