This is a 1956 Alexander 8" hard plastic Alexander-kins Scarlett O'Hara Doll #631 (Wendy Ann). She was in a collection and stored for many years. She is a bent knee walker with the knees bending nicely, but the walker mechanism is no longer working and the hip joints are "wiggly". She is wearing her tagged Alexander-kins floral muslin dress (although not easy to notice at first glance the dress has some age yellowing including floral fabric, the lace trim at the neckline, sleeves and around the green tulle parasol). The full white lace petticoat and pantaloons have also aged yellow in color and the elastic of each has stretched where someone has cast a running stitch along the waistband of each to gather up the fabric so the garments will stay up. The large straw picture hat of braided straw has edge damage with many small "bites" and the green velvet ribbon has also yellowed with age while the flowers appear complete. She is wearing her smooth sole black fuzzy side snap shoes. There are no rips, tears or holes anywhere. Her molded lash sleep eyes open and close easily, there are no seam cracks that I can see or feel, the arms do hold a pose but not tightly, and her original reddish triple stitched wig under her hat is very close to the original set. Not in perfect condition but very beautiful just the same.
