Ben Reig was a Couture Fashion Designer in the 1940's to 1960's. Such famous designers studied under him such as Liz Claiborn and Omar Kiam, etc. Jewelry produced by this company and signed BENREIG in caps are extremely rare and major collector's items. So besides this little froggie's claim to fame - he is absolutely ADORABLE! He has two beautiful red chatons for eyes. His legs and arms consist of grass green faceted rhinestones and his head is a tad bluer shade of green and a triangle shape. His back consists of a lovely multi-faceted light champagne coloured stone. His little fingers and toes are intricately carved. His finish on the back is japanned or gunmetal. The only damage I can see is one prong is missing from one green stone on his arm, but has no effect. Although a tiny little fellow, he makes a large impact and statement and certainly has a presence. His stones are obviously of the highest quality as they glitter and sparkle like jewels. He measures in at 1 1/2" X 1" and is in excellent condition. Not a wart to be found!
