There is just so much work that's gone into this handmade silver bracelet that I don't know where to begin. It's a work of art and all credit must go to the master jeweller who created it back in the art nouveau period.
Completely handmade, the silver stations feature flowing vines, exquisitely worked leaves and even tiny sterling silver flower-buds. The sections graduate. There are two round high domed jet black whitby jet cabochons bezel set on the shoulder sections of the bracelet. You can see it is the desirable whitby jet and not french jet (which is black glass).
The star of this piece though is the central whitby jet black square front focal section which is calibrated and measures 3.3 cm by 3.3 cm and mounted in a solid silver bezel.
There are absolutely no marks or grazes even under magnification, on this slab of jet black whitby. It's a truly gorgeous stone, with very unique properties and it so smooth to touch and you will adore this piece. It will take pride of place in your Art Nouveau Jewelry collection.
Interest in Botany was at its highest point in this period and this Bracelet with the floral design of vines, leaves and flower buds is a perfect example. Please take a close look at the clasp, it marries in perfectly without disruption, in fact it contributes to the overall class and beauty of this stunning black showpiece jewel that is sure to get admiring glances. The original safety chain is attached.
It measures 20 cm from end to end and is in excellent condition despite the fact that it is well over 100 years.
