Sparkling 10K Victorian Feather Pendant w/ Diamonds

Victorian society loved their symbols. This pretty pendant is comprised of three engraved feathers that have been set with 2 small diamonds; and, if anyone out there knows what the significance of feathers might have been during 1870-1910, please let me know!

Even if we don't know, this is still a lovely pendant in its own right. Perhaps 3 feathers joined together weren't supposed to represent anything.

Now for a brief description: the feathers attach where the top diamond is set; there is another open-set diamond near the bottom as well.

The feathers have beautiful detailed veins, and look exceptionally realistic. The thin lines are echoed in the bail.

The diamonds are both prong set, and are very clear and bright. I don't know the carat weight, but they measure almost 2 mm each.

Pendant measures 7/8" long and comes with a beautiful 16" 10K fine chain. Excellent condition. I don't see any damage, just minor wear.

Both pendant and chain marked "10K." The pendant is stamped with other marks as well, but I can't make them out.
