Beautiful Victorian Carved Jet Expanding Bracelet

This terrific carved jet bracelet is so beautiful on the wrist. And it's trendy as well, because my 15-year-old daughter wanted it!

Straight out of the Victorian era, the expanding bracelet is strung with different shapes and sizes of genuine jet beads--there are domed beads, "X"-shaped beads, leaf and faceted beads, plus more. The lovely black beads are strung on expanding black thread. Dates to about 1880.

I personally love the faceted jet bead because it adds a real sparkle to the piece. I'm guessing that the bracelet was originally decorated with tassles or drops because the two dome-shaped beads are missing something from one side. You can hardly notice it and no one will see them when you've got the bracelet around your wrist.

Other than that, the bracelet is in excellent condition, with just a few tiny nicks here and there, but nothing noticeable.
