Exquisite Victorian 9K Solid Rose Gold Bracelet w/ Heart Padlock

This is a fabulous Victorian 9K gold padlock charm bracelet with a working heart-shaped miniature key that unlocks the lovely repousse heart clasp!

It's difficult to find these old padlock bracelets with their keys--most are long gone, but this one remained--how, I'm not sure!

The links on this 7&1/4" long bracelet are just beautiful: 1/4" rounded rectangles alternating with ovals, joined together by way of wonderful braided gold links, all solid 9K gold--not hollow.

The heart padlock itself is not 9K but hollow gold-filled. I'm not sure if this was the bracelet's original padlock or not, but it looks terrific as is!

Total weight is 16.3 grams, a very decent weight for a bracelet of this kind. The links are not marked but I have tested them and they are 9K gold.

Heart measures 1" tall by 5/8" across. Excellent condition.

I don't see any damage of any kind, but the bracelet could use a good cleaning to remove grit that has built up over the years.

A good polishing would also bring out the gold's shine.

Very, very slight wear to the heart at the back and the top ring.

A beautiful piece overall and a nice old piece of history!
