Lovely Deco Silver Guilloche Enamel Vintage Compact

With this beautiful 1920's compact, you get the terrific geometric lines of the Art Deco era, and the lovely, soft work of engine-turned guilloche enamel.

What a beautiful combination they make on this sweet square shaped vintage compact, complete with paper clip chain. The enamel is mint green (my favourite) with a pretty pink rose and foliage.

The silver tone piece is still very useable, despite there being nothing inside besides a crescent mirror and place for powder. The circle which once stored a tablet of rouge is empty. Now you can add your own makeup!

Carry the compact around with you by the chain, or it will easily slip into a purse. Measures just over 2" by 3/8" deep.

Total weight is 59.0 grams.

The back of the piece displays the same geometric pattern as the front, with the initials "LW" engraved in fancy script.

Excellent condition. There is some surface scratching, and the inside contains wear from the items being removed, but nothing major.

Not marked but I have acid tested it and it is not silver, but silver tone or metal.
