Happy Spring! and welcome to my shop! Browsers: come on in! Lay-aways are always available!
This pair is beautifully detailed with hand-engraving and enamel. The rectangle buttons have been bezel-set on to a solid mount of sterling silver.
The earrings glisten beautifully in the sun, emitting an almost metallic glow of gorgeous shades of purple, pink, greenish-blue and yellow. Glass itself is foil-backed.
The images on the buttons are flowers that have been hand-carved and hand-painted in what looks like enamel. Due to their age, some of the enamel has worn off. You'll also see tiny holes in the glass, evidence of their former life as buttons!
Buttons measure 17 mm long by 10 mm across. Total length of earrings is almost 1&1/4".
Very sturdy wire hooks are solid sterling. Shemmer uses glass, shell and metal in her work, which are mainly bracelets. They are each one-of-a-kind.
Stamped "Sterling" on the backs. Total weight: 6.9 grams.
One of the earrings has a teeny opening on the silver at the side; I'm told that this can sometimes happen during the silver setting process. It is not damaged, and will not enlarge.
