Amorosa Portrait Bowl Maroon and Slip Gold Enameling “Royal Vienna”

This fabulous bowl has the “Royal Vienna” mark that Erdmann Schlegelmilch, of Suhl, Germany, used from 1902 to 1938. The center of the bowl features a portrait of Amorosa, a beautiful long-haired brunette, wearing a low-cut red velvet dress with white ruffles accented with hand painting on a dark brown colored background. The rim of the bowl is as beautiful as Amorosa. It features a wide burgundy band overlayed with slip enamel floral decoration. The rim is also trimmed in gold.

The bowl measures approx 10 inches in diameter and 3” high. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. There is very minimal wear to the gold on the rim.
