MIJ Blue Willow Pattern Salad Set, Bowl, 2 Cruets, Fork & Spoon

This pretty set is difficult to find intact. A bowl, fork, spoon and 2 cruets, 1 each oil and vinegar. The bowl, fork & spoon are shown in Mary Frank Gaston’s book “Blue Willow and Identification and Value Guide”. She indicates it was Made in Japan, and one of the cruets does in fact still retail a paper “Japan” label on the bottom. .The bowl has a traditional Blue Willow pattern.

The bowl measures just under 10” in diameter and 3 ¾” high. It is in good condition, there are no chips or cracks, but there is some minor crazing and just a hint of discoloration.

The fork and spoon measure approx 11” long and feature wood bottoms, and ceramic handles. All are in good condition. The wood on the fork & spoon do not show signs of use.

The cruets each measure approx 6” high with the stopper, and approx 2 ¾” in diameter. The oil, marked with an O on one side, is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The vinegar, marked with a V on one side, does have a repair to the handle. The handle broke off where it attaches to the body, and the repair is difficult to see.

I am pricing them as a set, based on condition.
