Antique German Baby Feeding Dish Charlie and Charlotte

“Charlie and Charlotte went one day out for a walk and lost their way.” That’s the verse on this cute children’s feeding dish. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify the nursery rhyme.

The graphic depicts a dog, dressed as “Bobby”, carrying one girl “dog” (Charlotte) and leading a boy “dog” (Charlie) by the hand. The title “For a good child” is written in gold script above the graphic. It is marked Three Crown China Germany. I have not been able to find any information on this company. I would estimate this piece to be from the early part of the last century, possibly pre WWI.

The plate measures approx 7¼” in diameter and 1” high. It is in good condition. The graphic has some wear, as does the title. I can feel no chips to the rim. I also looked at it under magnification, and detected only minor areas of potential wear.
