This trunk is such a great size for display, I believe it was probably meant to hold the belongings of a traveler on a stagecoach or possibly the belongings of a child. The latch has a patent date on it of Nov 30 69. This would indicate the trunk was made sometime after, but probably near that date in 1869. This pretty pitcher was made by Cambridge glass between 1930 – 1934, it is part of the 3400 Ball Shaped Line, specifically the 3400/38 80 oz. Jug with ice lip. Pitchers were made in this line with at least 3 different optics. I believe the optics on this pitcher is the ribbed style optic. The pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. There are a few very light scratches from use, but they are only visible when the pitcher is held at the “right” angle.
