A beautiful handcrafted Fine Silver, Precious Metal Clay Cross Pendant created by Carol.

My version of the “Cross” represents hope and peace extending to the four corners of the world. It is a melding of ancient shapes and symbols; a reminder of where we have been and where we want to go.

The disc shape represents the circle of life, the dots represent the stars in the heavens, the radiating lines represent the sun for power, and the wind for change. The ends of the cross bars represents the four corners of the world and all mankind. The engraved shield represents the crusades, (least we forget our wrongs,) and the cross represents hope and peace~may it spread far and wide.

The cross was hand-formed from Precious Metal Clay. Several techniques were used to create the design, including adding patterns using found objects and hand carving to enhance the design. After firing and polishing, a patina of LOS was added.

This pendant measures almost 1 1/2 inches in length-including the bail. 1 1/8 inch in diameter.
