SOLD Lladro Cat Nap #5640 Figurine

This is one of my favorite Lladro figurines. The Spanish name is Gatito En El Regazo. The English name is Cat Nap. Issue Year: 1990; Sculptor: Juan Huerta. It features a young girl holding her sleeping kitten in her arms while motioning "Shush" to her inquisitive puppy. Such an endearing piece for the cat or dog lover as well as Lladro collectors. The base is clearly marked with the blue Lladro trademark, incised with the number 5640, and several other numbers and letters. The figurine is in excellent condition with no damage and comes with it's original box, a small Lladro insert and an Assurance Certificate form. The figurine measures 5½" tall x 4 "" wide. Second Edition Collecting Lladro Identification & Price Guide by Peggy Whiteneck lists this piece as having had a value of $165 in 2003.
