"Pensive Madonna" Ivory Alabaster Limited Edition Collector Plate

This gorgeous three dimensional solid ivory alabaster collector plate of a Madonna and child was hand crafted at the Studio Dante di Volteradici in Toscana, Italy, in 1978 by the Master Ado Santini. It is the first in the "Living Madonnas" series. The plate has a certificate of authenticity with plate number 7846 printed in Italian on one side and English on the other. The front of the plate bears the artist's signature as well as the studio's name and the year done in Roman numerals. The metal plate on the underside needs regluing and has some discoloration. The plate is in excellent condition except for one tiny dark speck on the nostril of the child. The plate measures 8.5" in diameter. A pamphlet written in English describes the series and production of the plate. It comes in its original shipping box which is sturdy but worn.
