Harmony Kingdom "Gleason" Roly Poly Figurine Box

The UK based Harmony Kingdom began making the figurine boxes in the early 1990's. They have quickly become highly collectible. The boxes are intricate carvings by master artists made of crushed marble and resin to resemble antique ivory. The Roly Poly line are ball shaped figures named for famous people. "Gleason" is a figurine box of a little ram named for an actor. The inside has a incised carving of underwear. The box was carved by master carver Adam Binder in 2000 for release on 11/1/2000. Only 6516 boxes were issued, then the piece was retired on 10/15/2004. The dimensions of the piece are 1.5 x 1.75 x 1.75 inches. The model number is TJRPGO. Hardy is referenced in the 9th edition Price Guide to Contemporary Collectibles and Limited editions by Mary L. Sieber. He comes with his original box and insert, as shown. Condition is excellent.
