This beautiful vintage gold tone compact was made by Elgin American. It has a gorgeous floral pattern etched or incised on the lid. The mirror is in great shape, as are the clasps. The pale blue puff with Elgin American on the ribbon is soiled on the underside. There are remnants of powder inside. The sifter is missing. The backside has light scratches visible when tilted under bright light, but they do not detract from the beauty of this piece. The compact measures almost 3.5" in diameter. No box.
